Workflow Upgrades

DJI has released version 2.11.2 of its Mimo companion app, introducing several quality-of-life improvements for users of Osmo Pocket, Osmo Mobile, and other handheld cameras. The most notable convenience is automatic media transfer for the Osmo Pocket 4P: once the camera is powered off, it silently sends photos and videos to a paired smartphone, eliminating the need for manual copying or cable connections.

Enhanced Live Photos

Mobile users gain new creative options. The app now supports 4K Ultra HD Live Photos when using Osmo Mobile with iPhone 14 or newer. Additionally, a Cinematic Slow-Mo Live Photos feature lets users convert videos recorded at 48 fps or higher into dramatic slow-motion Live Photos with a single tap.

Collaborative Editing

A new Preset Sharing & Importing system allows users to generate share codes for custom editing presets. Friends, teammates, or collaborators can apply the exact same look without manually recreating adjustments, streamlining group projects and social media workflows.

Context and Availability

The update arrives alongside DJI's new Osmo 360 II camera, which relies heavily on Mimo for setup, transfers, and editing. However, due to the ongoing FCC block on new DJI products, the Osmo 360 II is unlikely to launch officially in the US. Existing Osmo users can still benefit immediately from Mimo's latest improvements, underscoring DJI's focus on evolving its software ecosystem.
